I want to get my credit score up a little more, but I’m not sure what would be more beneficial. Pay off my auto loan completely? Or do I pay down some of my credit cards with high limits? Which is the best option to improve my credit score? Also if I pay down some of my credit cards will my limits get reduced?

I live in Calif. where the market has crashed. I bought a home a little over a year ago, when the market was high. A fast talking broker convensed a group of us to take all the equity out of our current homes, and buy new ones, to have money for retirement. Now I might lose both. I know, stupid. Help?

Are there any programs out there that can help. Also, do you really get a big discount when you buy a foreclosed home?

I am searching for reputable mortage companies that deal with the average hard working American. My husband and I both work full time, have decent credit ratings. We are looking for a zero down loan. Anyone got any ideas and references? Thanks in advance.

My loan amount is 175K , 30yr fixed
1). How much would each point cost me for the above loan ?
2). How much of a % would it cut down when I pay the points upfront ?
3). Is it worth buying 2-3 points if I am planning to stay in that house for 5-7 years for sure ?

Is it different if you want to build a home vs. buying one finished?

I have been out of the military for ten years now, but was told that I would qualify for a VA loan. How do you apply? How you find out if you are qualified? Is it really true there is no down payment required? What are the interest rates? Any information anyone can provide me would be great.

Why would a bank care about how much money a borrower puts down? Is this amount reported to the lender? Don’t they only care about the total loan amount?
I will be getting a car loan soon, but because the car is only a few thousand dollars, I will only be putting down a few hundred. My credit score is 630.
