It’s the first time that I buy a brand new car from a dealer. It’s a Honda Civic LX. I would like to know if I got a fair deal, an average financing, or if I got charged more than I should be.
The deal is done. But at least, I want to know if this is the average burden faced for every new car owner, to face it as a man.
Here are the details: Mi credit 650. Sticker price: $18335 Down Payment: $3000 Interest rate: 9.4%
and then in the truth-in lending disclosures reads:
Finance charge: $7709.21 Amount financed: $24299.11
Total of Pymts. $ 32008.32 Total Sale Price: 35008.32
72 Payments of $444.56
Let me know if you think this is an average loan, or not, and the possible options if any, that I may have. (I was thinking paying 6 months like this, wait for my credit to go up, and then try to finance with the bank since there’s no penalty for paying early. I’ll appreciate your opinion.

I’d like more insight on how banks view a person with a solid work history, good income, but not so great credit. Is it even possible to qualify for a home loan??? – First time buyer

I mean, what makes a buyer “qualified”? Is it determined by your FICA score or by some other factor?

Is there a law on how high they can go? Like 20% or something?

I’m purchasing a new car soon and I alaways see specials for financing a car thru a dealership. What is the difference? I was planning on going through my credit union.

They tacked on an additional @$2700 onto my loan and since that time my car payment went from $350 a month to $700 a month. Before this happened, my credit was good, and since after that time my credit changed drastically. I’ve been told that this may be illegal. If anyone has info, please let me know. Oh, and this is in CALIFORNIA.
Thanks!

I want to buy a 9,000 car and as a couple me and my wife make around six figures combined. We have good credit. If I purchase this car would it jeopardize my ability to get a home loan?
