I’ve been making payments to her and I want to pay off the rest of the loan. I don’t know what kind of loan I should take out to pay her the rest of the money. Do I need to take out a mortgage or a 2nd mortgage, a home equity loan or a personal loan to pay my friend back?

I have 24 years left on 30 year mortgage. I am thinking about a home equity loan at a favorable rate, rather than roll in to refinance consolidation. If rates are favorable later this year i may like to refinance 1st mortgage at 15 years. Will home equity loan affect my refinancing even if i am not looking for any cash out.

i have 17k left on my car loan, my car is BB valued at $11k. i’ve been paying towards the interest all this time (simple loan). A friend of mine negotiated the payoff on her car by justifying today’s bb value and they agreed. is there anything i should be prepared with before i try this?

Say, you have a home that you still owe $$ on…..You want to sell this house and buy a new one. Would you take the money you get for selling your current home and put that toward paying off your current home….being left with only the mortgage payments on the new home.
